Dancing Intervarsities 2012.

I just had the best day of my life yesterday!

The All Ireland Dancing Intervarsities were being held in my college this year, and we were joined by 11 other colleges in 5 categories: Irish, Jazz, Hip Hop, Alternative, and Mixed.

I can honestly say that it was the best experience I’ve ever had. UL’s Irish dancing team were absolutely amazing, I nearly cried watching them. And as for DCU’s mixed piece, well I broke down completely after watching the ballerinas and contemporary dancers.

I only took part in the Hip Hop category, which was without a doubt the best performance I’ve ever given, and I’m so delighted with how it turned out.

And to top it all off, we have a private afterparty in one of the best clubs in Galway! I got to know loads of the other people that took part in the competition, and it was just dance battles galore on the dance floor, the best night out I’ve had in a long time!
